Sales Executive, US Public Sector/DOOH - Boston MA or US

CIVIQ Smartscapes is building a strong sales team to rapidly increase customer and corporate growth. In this critical role, you will support the Managing Director, Global Government & Innovation leading the execution and management of our large project sales and revenue opportunities to fuel our expansion and growth. The ideal candidate will bring well-established public sector contacts within the major metropolitan areas of the United States so those markets can quickly be brought on as CIVIQ customers.  This role has a preference for a location in Boston, but other major municipalities will be considered.

Major Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Understand CIVIQ’s line of products and services to identify opportunities that are well matched with our solutions and capabilities within the Public Sector
  • Demonstrate CIVIQ’s capabilities to the public sector, building and growing new customer relationships
  • Penetrate the markets, understand business and technical issues and leverage CIVIQ’s subject matter experts to educate customers and close business generating revenue
  • Build an appropriate sales pipeline within Public Sector and close large-scale Smart City deals
  • Close business to meet CIVIQ and individual revenue targets
  • Successfully navigate complex sales cycle, close business and build sustainable customer business relationships
  • Leverage relationships with channel partners to further our solution, strategy and partnerships across the United States
  • Create effective sales strategies and partnership campaigns to support our corporate initiatives
  • Implement and manage a systematic enterprise-class solution selling process (qualified opportunities, proposals and contracts) that leads to successful sales revenue

Technical/Professional Knowledge/Skills:

  • Knowledge of large-scale technology deployment, enterprise software and/or digital media technology
  • C-level sales presentation experience with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
  • Established municipal public sector contacts within the major metropolitan areas of the United States
  • Strong solutions background including related sales methodologies
  • Proven ability to drive large complex sales pursuits to successful closure
  • Excellent computer skills including Windows, Word, and Excel and 
  • Strong understanding of IoT and smart cities category including smart city related services, integration, and infrastructure technologies is preferred

Education & Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in selling technology and consulting services
  • Minimum of 7 years  of experience in enterprise sales of technical products or revenue-based business development, preferably for digital technology solutions (i.e: IT Network Management Infrastructure)
  • Experience in high-level professional sales with prior experience in municipal solution sales, enterprise software or technology sales preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university or equivalent experience

Travel Requirements:

  • 75% domestic travel throughout the US and occasionally, international travel
