LinkNYC wins NYC Public Design Commission Excellence in Design award

LinkNYC has won a NYC Public Design Commission Excellence in Design award, a recognition that honors projects across the five boroughs on city-owned land that exemplify innovative and thoughtful design that can engender a sense of civic pride.

There were 12 winners across a spectrum of public infrastructure projects as well as upgrades to parks and the streetscape. Mayor de Blasio announced the winners and added in a statement:

“The winners of this year’s Excellence in Design Awards highlight NYC’s dedication to providing a wide range of design and public spaces that speak to the modern day New Yorker and meet the needs of a large, active and diverse city."

Each honoree is first nominated by a city agency before the Public Design Commission, a group of architects, designers and lay people who contribute work pro bono, whittles the group down into the final honorees. We are proud to be part of the team that is bringing LinkNYC to New Yorkers.
